As with many organizations, modern information and communication technologies play a fundamental role in the activities of Community for Khmer Village’s (CKV) activities. We are based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We use our website to explain our story to you. As storytellers, we present in an honest and open fashion what we do and encourage readers with common stories and similar interests to consider support of Khmer children, especially children living in remote Khmer villages.
There is no requirement for a donor to disclose any information when visiting our websites. A person or organization can access our home page and browse our website without disclosing any personal or organizational information. CKV does not automatically log personal data nor link information automatically logged by other means with personal data about specific individuals.
CKV accepts online donations for the purposes of serving children and families living in Khmer villages of Cambodia. When a donor makes a donation online or via mail, CKV collects donor information (such as: name, address, gift amount, phone number, email address, date of transaction) that allows CKC to process and record the gift. CKV uses secure technology to request credit card approval and to keep personal and organizational information secure when making a donation online.
CKV does analyze the website logs and user statistics to improve the value of our site. CKV logs and user statistics are not personally identifiable and no effort is made to link these logs and statistics with individuals who view CKV website. These logs are reviewed for aggregate trends, not for the behaviors of individual users. Only authorized staff has access to CKV website logs and user statistics.
CKV do not search for or collect information about visitors from other sources, such as public records or private organizations. CKV does not compile, buy, sell, rent, share or trade consumer mailing lists. The only personal data CKV collects is that which a visitor freely give us when using some of the functions on CKC website, particularly as relates to a donation, sponsorship or volunteerism. CKV does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. CKV will never share, sell, trade or provide personal information to non-CCF organizations unless required to do so by law.

Any CKV employees or data processors who have access to and/or are associated with the processing of personal data are contractually obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors’ personal data. Once CKV receives your request, the organization will make every effort to respond promptly, usually within a week or less. If CKV holds any relevant information about a person or organization, it will provide a copy of that information. CKV does not charge for providing the information. It will request proof of identity, however, before releasing any information.
CKV does not retain any financial data about donors or sponsors other than that required to verify that a relationship and/or transactions exists or has existed, as this information is required for transparency purposes and to demonstrate financial integrity.
CKV does not retain any credit card information or similar data. All electronic payment transactions operated through the CKC website are handled by a secure and authorized third party which is contractually responsible for processing all credit card information and complying with applicable legislation.
CKV collects and holds data about the children enrolled in our Village Learning Centers, Green Connection Centers, and/or to whom CKV provides services. CKV takes specific steps to protect the privacy of children and their families who share their personal data with CKC. CKV ensures that parents or appropriate family members provide permission in a written format and are fully aware of the purposes for which CKC collects and maintains this information. Medical information may only be viewed or updated by authorized healthcare staff.
Additional to observance of the stipulations of this policy is that CKV voluntarily commits itself to perform an annual Self-Assessment of its privacy practices. These are administered by a designated officer within CKV acting with the direct and delegated authority of the Founder.
