Donations
Can you explain The Community’s donation process?
All donations are made to The Community through its partner, Omprakash. When The Community evaluated the following cost structures, it quickly concluded that an organization the quality, maturity and depth of Omprakash was the best fit for the following: minimizing legal fees and administrative length of time to apply to the IRS for an exempt status; reducing the administrative overhead to handle the management of exempt funds, including federal reporting for a not-for-profit organization; and alleviating the costs of administrative tracking of funds by project.
Since 2004, Omprakash has been dedicated to building mutually beneficial and educational relationships between grassroots social impact organizations through its partners and volunteers, donors and classrooms around the world who can learn from and support their work. At the core, Omprakash’s value system mirrors The Community’s value of Servant Leadership. Its work is about learning through relationships, and its primary goal is fundamentally educational. By forging connections within its network, Omprakash aims to "lead out" citizens of the world towards an awareness of the human community from which they are indivisible and within which they can enact change. This process helps its diverse international Partners amplify their impact, empowering everyone involved to become more critically conscious as participants in processes of social transformation.
Omprakash is a tax-exempt non-profit organization registered under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code, Tax ID# 20-8655418. All donations to The Community are tax-deductible for citizens of the United States.

STEP 3. MAKE A DONATION TO THE Community for Khmer Children
Does The Community have a 2017 Fund-Raising campaign?
Vanna Toel has wisely observed: “It take a village to raise a child. It requires the world to raise the Khmer villages.” The 2017 goal is to raise funds for the permanent location of the Green Connection Center in Siem Reap. The detailed components for the 2017 Goal are listed below.
